Emily Whiting only paints in oils.  The subject matter for her paintings is based on nature and her philosophy.  Deeper meaning can be found in the thought-provoking works of Emily Whiting and is like a hidden gem, waiting to be enjoyed.  Her works swing between convincing photo-realism and dreamy surrealism to guide the viewer into seeing the world through her eyes where the world is shown to be even more interesting than at first thought.

"Charleston Style and Design Magazine" Summer 2023 elaborates on this trait of her elegant, allegorical art in a wonderful article, "A Deeper Meaning," which can be found on their website: https://charlestonstyleanddesign.com/a-deeper-meaning/

"As I look back, I see that my art has developed the character of rich wine, created by the cultivation of my thoughts and passions and then crushed and worked in the wine press of experience and artistic expression.  It is only after a long slow sip, that we can savor the art." -- Emily Whiting
